Mathias plays an old Wurlitzer and on top of that a Juno 60 he uses for bass and pad sound. On about 20 pct of the tunes Martin uses his Weltmeister — a cheaper, more “kling klang” sound, 100% analog. Together, we can play two keyboards in sync, creating intricate patterns that weave into each other. It becomes hard to tell where one sound ends and the other begins, producing a hypnotic effect as everything melts together.
Its a bit like how Anders and Victor play two drum kits simultaneously. Only this time, we’re doing it with electric sounds — two layers of sound merging into something bigger, richer, and more mesmerizing. We love playing with the sounds this way!
